oh, the places you will go . . . Bolton House, United Kingdom

As most of you already know, I’ve started to sell some of my vintage and antique finds on Etsy sites (three to be exact). Not really knowing what to expect (sale-wise) at the new retail location following my move, I began doing so as a pre-emptive measure. Moving store fronts can be tricky business. Questions like: will my customers follow me, will they find me or will they forget about me?

Thankfully, so many of you have found, followed and continue to support my little store. For that, I am so, so grateful.

Still, I had started the Etsy stores, and I like to follow through with things. So I continued to list items here and there, and much to my surprise, the Etsy stores are off to a great start.

One of the things I love about my online sales is it keeps my items moving, and in turn, keeps things fresh at the store. And I think we all appreciate that :)

Another unexpected benefit from becoming part of the Etsy community is the amazing people I have met through Etsy sales and conversations…artisans, designers, prop stylists and amazing establishments. As a person who thrives on creative food, these contacts have come to mean so much to me.

I thought it would be fun if I shared some of these amazing people and places I’ve since crossed paths. Places like the Bolton House in the United Kingdom . . .

I’m embarrassed to say that I had never heard of this magnificent place. If I watched more television or went to box office movies I probably would have recognized it as the location for the 1995 adaptation of “Pride and Prejudice” starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle . . .

Apparently, the Belton House has become a rather popular location for TV and movie productions, such as BBC’s TV adaptation of Jane Eyre. I only have to wonder how they plan on using my little treasures. When I find out, I’ll be sure to let you know.

Here are a few more of my favorite photos within the property . . .

Anyway, if you have a minute, check out this absolutely amazing manor at the link below. From what I can tell through Google, cottages within the property can be rented for romantic get-aways. You know, if you happen to find yourself in the United Kingdom with the one you love.
